Description
The souvenir programme from the Cardiff Laboratory-presented tour of the 2nd Peking Opera Troupe that took place in 1986 as part of the Peking Opera Explorations.
The programme contains photos, illustrations and information on the history and art of Peking Opera and describes the scenes from the stories that were presented: ‘Havoc in Heaven’, ‘The Monkey King 500 Years On’. The Red Maid’, ‘The Jade Bracelet’ and ‘Stealing the Magic Herbs’.
