The book is a history of alternative Polish theatre. The Author presents groups which stemmed from two different genres; the \u201corigins\u201d theatre, which began with Jerzy Grotowski (i.e. The Laboratorium Theatre, Gardzienice, Pie\u015bn Koz\u0142a) and the student theatre (i.e. The 8th Day Theatre, Biuro Podr\u00f3\u017cy, Provisorium). Korna\u015b tells their stories as well as explaining their significance and activities in Polish culture.<\/p>\n

Tadeusz Korna\u015b is a theatre critic, theatre historian and the Editor in Chief of the Polish theatre monthly \u201cDidaskalia\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n
